Unlike chiropractic where your head is twisted or manipulated or physiotherapy where you are to actively perform stretches and strengthening exercises (despite being in pain), patients under our care simply lie on our treatment bed while their neck and head are comfortably resting on a neck support while treatment is being rendered. 

As previously mentioned, just like our lumbar spine (lower back) treatments, due to our advanced patient monitoring system, despite how much pain a patient may be in prior to care, most patients are able to be pain free under treatment and are actually able to fall asleep while under care.

Cervical Symptoms of disc herniations and spinal arthritis (Degenerative Disc Disease) can be Misleading! Did you know that having a disc herniation or spinal arthritis in the neck can cause symptoms that may seem unrelated to the neck?

It’s True.

In fact, medical research has shown, for instance, that 70% of all headaches originate from the neck!  So, if you’re suffering from chronic headaches and migraines and are continuously taking medication, only to have your headaches come back after stopping your medication… your headaches could be originating from your neck!

Similarly, did you know that one of the MOST common causes of carpal tunnel syndrome is from disc herniations or spinal arthritis in your neck!  Even though you may feel symptoms like numbness and tingling,  incoordination  and muscle weakness in your hands, often the cause of your symptoms is NOT stemming from your wrists at all.  So, carpal tunnel treatment or surgery can be completely unnecessary!

To put this into perspective, if you are experiencing sciatic pain due to a disc herniation in your back and you feel numbness and tingling in your feet, would you operate on your ankle to remove the numbness and tingling?  Of course not  – because your pain is not from your ankle, but your back.
